About us

Made for the ones who meet us at the door.

Paws and Claws is a small, family-run boutique for pets and the people who love them. We started with a simple belief: the everyday things we choose for our animals — a collar, a bowl, a bed in the sunniest corner of the room — say something about how we care for them.

So we do the slow part for you. We read the labels, test the stitching, and only stock pieces we would happily bring home ourselves. Nothing fancy for the sake of it: honest materials, thoughtful design, and everyday essentials that earn their place in your home.

The Paws and Claws family

The people behind the counter — and the two who insist on being in every photograph.

Chosen, not stocked

Every piece in the shop is picked for how it looks in a home and how it holds up to real, muddy-pawed use.

Comfort comes first

Beds, bowls and harnesses are chosen around the animal's experience of them, not how they photograph on a shelf.

A small shop, real people

Someone who knows the products answers you — not a script. If we cannot help, we will point you to who can.

How we got here

It began with a very particular dog bed.

If we would not put it in our own home, it does not go on the shelf.

It started the way most good things do: with one animal who deserved better than what was on the shelf. The bed was scratchy, the harness rubbed, and the toys lasted an afternoon. So we went looking for something better — and then kept looking.

That search turned into a small shop. Today we work with makers who care about the same things we do: materials that soften instead of wearing out, designs that respect how an animal actually moves, and prices that make sense for a family.

We are still small on purpose. It means we answer the emails ourselves, know most of the dogs by name, and say no to anything we would not use at home.

Come say hello

We are always happy to talk beds, harnesses, and the eternal question of which toy survives the enthusiastic ones.
